Off to the Christmas Party at School!!!

Playing in the snow before the Holiday Party at school on Dec 22nd...Miss B is sporting her Rudolph outfit made by Vania of Euro*Girls and Mr. Q is in his gymboree moose gear!!! Lots of fun, they just loved the snow...and then later in the week it rained so most all the snow melted as we were away in Indiana, so I am happy I got some fun pictures before we left.

Lots and Lots of Snow!!!

The weekend before Christmas we woke up to a snowstorm, and it continued to snow all day that day, and I think we gathered about 3 feet all together. It was pretty, and well good thing I went to the grocery store the night before, as we were buried in our homes that day. Later in the evening, we finally made our way outside with the snow shovels and started on the driveway, while the kids played in the snow. The next morning the snow plow made it through our neighborhood and well plowed us back in the driveway so we went back out that morning to reshovel the driveway, so I could get a car out to make it to work. Unfortunately I fit in that emergency personal catagory so I don't get an excused federal day of work, so I slowly drove my way to work that day and finally made it.

Luckily the roads were clear enough by Wednesday so we could leave for Indiana and spend the holiday with my parents in Indiana. It was a quick trip as we had to return Saturday, but it was lots of fun and well the kids were definately spoiled by the grandparents. But it was nice to see everyone and I saw many family members that I didn't get a chance to see on the last visit in October!!!

Well we are back and getting ready for the New Year. And I am starting up some sewing to get out some Valentine designs...until then here are some pics of the Snow Fairy design in the snow as I modified it by adding the petti!!! Found as a BIN in my store...

Off to the Pumpkin Patch!!!

I just love this time of year...it is my favorite. The weather starts to cool, but you still have beautiful sunny days, and the leaves begin to change and there is just so much color!!! Loads of color everywhere around you. Well Saturday is family day in our household as it happens to be the only day off we share together, so we try and do something together, but the past weekends ended up being a bust as it was rainy, and even if we had plans we were still trying to go apple picking and to the pumpkin patch...so finally we woke up on Halloween and it was a beautiful day, just gorgeous and sunny...just opposite of the cloudy weather prediction!!! So we had big plans, but decided Q man needed a nap first, as the morning I used to finish up some orders...plus it is always best if he gets a nap anyways:) So he takes a nap, wakes up and all is well and still looks great...what happens we all get out to the car and the clouds roll in quickly and now the rain hits, yep it starts raining...well we still decided to go driving and headed towards the patch. We got there and it was still raining but looked as if it would blow over, so we headed into the barn store to look for some goodies...found some jam and apples...well the apple trees were bare so no apple picking but at least they has some fresh apple bags so we grabbed those and then it stopped raining...so why not...lets go to the muddy pumpkin patch afterall sometimes you just have to get dirty to have fun!!! So Q decided to grab the wagon and off we went---incidently I made him the super cute Jack outfit but not two months ago and it fit perfect, well I put it on him for the big day and well it didn't fit...way too short...normally I don't go for the high water boy look but afterall that work and it was just one day, I decided he could wear it---there is an advantage to high waters in muddy pumpkin patches...you avoid most of the mud;) So that was perfect for Q!!!

Anyways, it was a great time, and afterwards we drove to the town next to us and grabbed some sweet goodies at the Bakery and then we drove home...happened to get rear ended at a traffic light, so spent some time getting insurance information, luckily no one was hurt including the car so we continued home just in time for trick or treating. It was still drizzling a bit so we didn't know if trick or treating would occur, but the clouds cleared up and the kids were able to go around the neighborhood and got loads of candy!!! They ended up wearing the pumpkin patch outfits, as we ended up with no time to change into costume, but that is okay they dressed up for the school party that was the day before so they still had a blast!!!

It is hard to get recognized in the boutique world sometime, and well we love our customers, but it is also nice to get recognized from fellow designers too, and especially one as talented as Cree!!!

Enchanted Forest....an awesome applique set!!!

Wow...I cannot tell you how many appliques are in this set, but I do love how it turned out, but it was certainly a work of love!!! I just love the colors and the fun theme, and well just think it turned out pretty darn cute, if I do say so myself...I designed this and with my rough draft I sent it over to Sophie and she made the super cool poly bead for the necklace and it is just perfect and oh so pretty, a great topper!!! And then I had already worked with April on the super cute owl set and hat, so I just added it to the outfit as well it turned out to be a perfect match, and well the owl set knit also goes with the jeans, so we have a few forest outfits for the fall!!! Perfect!!!

We were taking a walk yesterday before school, and the kids were having a blast as the leaves were falling around them and they were all excited to see the different colors. Quintin was sure there were blue leaves, and well in the world of applique there can be, but I was trying to explain the colors were red, yellow and orange, and more would be changing soon!!! Then down the lane, we found some red mulberry leaves and they looked pink to Briauna, so wow they even have pink leaves!!! So while sometimes we like to add color in our applique sets that are not always found in nature, it truly is amazing all the colors that do surround us in fall and how fun this weather can be!!!

Search Fairycakes on ebay to find these great items, plus all the other fun designs and well we are having a little bidding contest on all enchanted forest items, so each bid gets entered into a drawing for a free owl necklace from vincouture...so why not do some bidding, and get the opportunity to win two great items!!!

Blossom Street goes Wild.... And I added a little euro!!!

Well I am running out of time, as I am preparing for my vacation, it seems to be very hard to plan, super easy at work, but not so easy on ebay with orders coming in, so I am catching up and working on some launch items, and trying to get everything done so I will only have a few orders to work on when I return...or so I hope. So I snuck in this cute little dress when Monica bought one of my other Feliz's...I asked for Maddies favorite color combinations and I got pink...pink...pink...and a little euro too:) So I tried to challenge myself as I was looking through my fabrics and this is what I came up with...check it out on ebay along with the other BlossomSt wild listings!!!
